Horizontal CPVC Pipe Hanger and Vertical Guide
The Figure 185 One Hole Pipe Strap is designed as a hanger for horizontal CPVC pipe when mounted on the side of structural wood beams or minimum 20-gauge steel, with the hanger tab positioned upward only.
The Figure 185 can also function as a guide for vertical CPVC piping. When installed with the tab in the horizontal position, it helps limit pipe movement while providing appropriate guidance for the piping system.
Beveled Edge Helps Protect CPVC Pipe
A beveled edge design helps protect CPVC pipe from rough hanger surfaces and reduces the potential for abrasion. This CPVC-friendly construction makes the Figure 185 particularly useful for piping systems where protecting the plastic pipe surface is essential.
Fast Installation on Wood or Steel
Installation begins by placing the hanger over the pipe and securing it to the mounting surface. For wood structures, a #10 x 1" hex washer head self-threading screw is supplied, allowing installation without pre-drilling.
Steel installations require one #14 x 1" hex washer head self-drilling TEK screw, Part Number STD-0090, which is not supplied.
