Gruvlok® couplings are manufactured with ductile iron housings conforming to ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12, providing exceptional strength and durability. Standard finishes include orange rust-inhibiting paint, while hot-dipped zinc galvanized coatings are available for enhanced corrosion resistance in challenging environments.
High-strength hardware typically includes SAE J429 Grade 5 bolts and ASTM A563 Grade A heavy hex nuts, with optional 304 stainless steel and EcoGuard® corrosion-resistant hardware kits available for specialized applications.
Gruvlok® gaskets are manufactured in accordance with ASTM D2000 and are available in several elastomer compounds, including EPDM for water and HVAC service, Nitrile (Buna-N) for petroleum applications, and FKM (Fluoroelastomer) for elevated temperatures and chemical service.
