Gruvlok Grade T Nitrile Gasket

Gruvlok® Figure 7010 Reducing Coupling with Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket

The Gruvlok® Figure 7010 Reducing Coupling with Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket is a premium mechanical grooved coupling designed to directly connect two different pipe sizes while providing exceptional sealing performance for petroleum-based applications. By eliminating the need for two couplings and a separate reducing fitting, the Figure 7010 simplifies piping layouts, reduces installation time, minimizes leak points, and lowers material costs. Designed for commercial and industrial piping systems, this coupling supports working pressure ratings up to 500 PSI (34.5 bar), depending on pipe size and wall thickness, and is widely used in oil and gas production, hydraulic systems, petroleum processing, mining, manufacturing facilities, and industrial process piping. The Figure 7010 is not recommended for vacuum applications.

Its compact design and petroleum-resistant gasket make it an efficient solution for piping systems that require both pipe size transitions and reliable performance with oil-based media.

Efficient Pipe Size Transitions

Simplified Mechanical Pipe Connections

The Gruvlok® Figure 7010 directly joins two different grooved pipe diameters using a single coupling. Its specially engineered reducing gasket incorporates a center rib that accurately positions the gasket during installation while preventing the smaller pipe from telescoping into the larger pipe. This unique design improves joint alignment, enhances sealing performance, and provides long-term mechanical reliability.

The coupling installs quickly on compatible roll-grooved or cut-grooved steel pipe without welding, threading, or flanged connections, reducing labor costs and simplifying future maintenance.

Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket

Engineered for Petroleum Service

The Grade "T" Nitrile (Buna-N) gasket, identified by its orange color code, is manufactured in accordance with ASTM D2000 and provides a service temperature range of -20°F to 180°F (-29°C to 82°C). It is specifically recommended for petroleum products, mineral oils, vegetable oils, hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, fuels, and compressed air containing oil vapors.

The Grade "T" gasket provides excellent resistance to petroleum-based media while maintaining dependable sealing performance in demanding industrial environments. It is not recommended for hot water or hot air applications, where EPDM or other specialized gasket materials should be selected.

Why Choose the Gruvlok® Figure 7010 with Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket?
