The Figure 184 CPVC Double Offset Hanger and Restrainer is designed to provide dependable support and surge restraint for horizontal CPVC piping systems. Available in sizes from 3/4" through 1", this specialized CPVC pipe hanger is manufactured from durable carbon steel with a pre-galvanized finish per ASTM A653, providing strength and corrosion protection for professional piping installations.
Designed for installation on the side of a supporting structure, the Figure 184 combines pipe support, restraint, and a built-in offset into one convenient component.
CPVC Hanger and Surge Restraint
The Figure 184 Double Offset Hanger functions as both a hanger and surge restraint for horizontal CPVC pipe. It is listed with the provided hardware for installation on structural wood beams and composite wood beams with a minimum 1" thickness.
For wood structures less than 1" thick, wood blocking may be positioned behind the structure. The supplied #14 x 1" fastener must be fully engaged in the wood block.
The hanger may also be installed on concrete, steel, and other structural members using appropriate fasteners that comply with NFPA 13 requirements.
Beveled Edges Protect CPVC Pipe
The beveled edge design helps protect CPVC pipe from rough surfaces and minimizes potential pipe abrasion. The bottom of the supported pipe is automatically offset 1-1/2" from the structure, eliminating the need for separate wooden spacer blocks.
Fast Installation and cULus Listing
Installation is straightforward. Slide the CPVC pipe through the double offset hanger and restrainer, then secure the hanger to the supporting structure using the supplied screws or appropriate listed fasteners.
For wood installations, a #14 x 1" hex washer head self-threading screw is supplied, with no pre-drilling required.
