Gruvlok Grade T Nitrile Gasket
Gruvlok® Figure 7001 Flexible Coupling with Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket
The Gruvlok® Figure 7001 Flexible Coupling with Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket is a high-performance mechanical grooved coupling engineered for piping systems that require both flexibility and compatibility with petroleum-based fluids. Designed for demanding industrial applications, the Figure 7001 provides a dependable flexible pipe joint capable of accommodating thermal expansion, contraction, vibration, and minor pipe deflection while maintaining exceptional joint integrity. With working pressures up to 1,000 PSI (69 bar), depending on pipe size and wall thickness, this coupling is ideal for oil and gas production, mining operations, hydraulic systems, industrial processing, compressor stations, mechanical piping, and petroleum handling facilities.
Its flexible design helps reduce stress on connected equipment while simplifying installation and maintenance compared to welded, threaded, or flanged pipe connections.
Flexible Pipe Connections for Industrial Service
Designed to Absorb Movement and Vibration
The Gruvlok® Figure 7001 forms a durable flexible grooved-end pipe connection that allows controlled movement within the piping system. This flexibility helps absorb vibration, minimize pipeline noise, and accommodate thermal expansion and contraction without requiring additional expansion joints or vibration isolators.
Compatible with roll-grooved and cut-grooved steel pipe, as well as grooved-end fittings and valves, the Figure 7001 provides a versatile mechanical joining solution for a wide range of heavy-duty industrial applications.
Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket
Engineered for Petroleum Applications
The Grade "T" Nitrile (Buna-N) gasket, identified by its distinctive orange color code, is specifically formulated for petroleum service. It provides a service temperature range of -20°F to 180°F (-29°C to 82°C) and is recommended for petroleum products, mineral oils, vegetable oils, hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, fuels, and compressed air containing oil vapors.
The Grade "T" gasket provides outstanding resistance to oil-based media while maintaining dependable sealing performance under demanding operating conditions. It is not recommended for hot water or hot air applications, where EPDM or other specialized gasket compounds should be selected.
