The Figure 005FG Light Duty Felt Lined J-Hanger is a versatile pipe support designed for the suspension of stationary copper tubing in commercial, residential, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Available for 1/2" through 4" copper tubing, this light-duty J-hanger combines durable carbon steel construction with an adhesive-backed felt lining to provide dependable support while separating the tubing from the metal hanger.
The Figure 005FG features an electro-galvanized finish for added corrosion protection and is designed for installations requiring convenient overhead suspension or wall mounting.
Felt Lining for Copper Tubing Protection
The Figure 005FG Felt Lined J-Hanger incorporates an adhesive-backed felt layer between the copper tubing and carbon steel hanger. This lining provides a protective contact surface for the tubing while helping minimize direct metal-to-metal contact.
The felt lining can also help reduce noise and vibration transmitted between the copper tubing and support structure. The Figure 005FG has a maximum service temperature of 120°F.
Electro-Galvanized Carbon Steel Construction
Manufactured from carbon steel with an electro-galvanized finish, the Figure 005FG provides strength with additional surface corrosion protection. The hanger complies with MSS SP-58 Type 5 requirements for pipe hangers and supports.
Flexible Rod or Wall-Mount Installation
The Figure 005FG J-Hanger provides multiple installation options. It can be suspended from hanger rod or attached directly to a wall, allowing contractors to select the mounting arrangement best suited to the piping system.
A convenient “T” slot in the hanger permits the side bolt to be installed after the hanger and pipe have been positioned, helping simplify field installation.
