Gruvlok Grade T Nitrile Gasket
Gruvlok® Figure 7305 HDPE Rigid Coupling with Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket
The Gruvlok® Figure 7305 HDPE Rigid Coupling with Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket is a heavy-duty mechanical coupling designed to create a rigid, leak-resistant connection on High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe without the need for heat fusion or specialized joining equipment. Compatible with ASTM F714, ASTM D2447, ASTM D3000, and ASTM D3035 HDPE pipe with wall thicknesses from SDR 32.5 through SDR 7.3, the Figure 7305 provides a fast, cost-effective alternative to fusion welding for demanding industrial applications. It is an excellent choice for oil and gas production, mining operations, industrial processing, petroleum transfer systems, hydraulic piping, and utility infrastructure where petroleum-resistant sealing is required.
The coupling's innovative mechanical design allows installers to achieve a secure connection quickly while eliminating the expense, downtime, and specialized equipment associated with traditional fusion methods.
Advanced Mechanical HDPE Pipe Connection
Secure Grip Without Fusion
The Gruvlok® Figure 7305 utilizes a four-bolt mechanical clamping system that drives precision-machined gripping teeth into the outside surface of the HDPE pipe. This creates a rigid mechanical connection capable of developing pressure ratings that exceed the pressure capability of the HDPE pipe itself. The gripping teeth are positioned away from the gasket to maximize sealing performance and minimize stress on the sealing surface throughout the operating temperature range.
Its low-profile contoured housing features smooth exterior ramps that allow assembled pipelines to slide more easily over obstacles during installation or relocation, improving efficiency on large piping projects.
Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket
Designed for Petroleum Service
The Grade "T" Nitrile (Buna-N) gasket, identified by its orange color code, is manufactured in accordance with ASTM D2000 and provides a service temperature range of -20°F to 180°F (-29°C to 82°C). It is specifically recommended for petroleum products, mineral oils, vegetable oils, hydraulic fluids, fuels, and compressed air containing oil vapors.
The nitrile compound provides excellent resistance to petroleum-based media while maintaining dependable sealing performance in demanding industrial environments. It is not recommended for hot water or hot air applications, where EPDM or other specialized gasket compounds should be selected.
Why Choose the Gruvlok® Figure 7305 HDPE Rigid Coupling?
