Gruvlok Grade T Nitrile Gasket
Gruvlok® Figure 7307 HDPE Transition Rigid Coupling with Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket
The Gruvlok® Figure 7307 HDPE Transition Rigid Coupling with Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket is a premium mechanical transition coupling designed to securely connect High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe to grooved steel pipe, grooved-end fittings, and valves in petroleum and industrial piping systems. Engineered as a cost-effective alternative to heat fusion, the Figure 7307 creates a rigid, leak-resistant connection while eliminating the need for specialized fusion equipment. Compatible with ASTM F714, ASTM D2447, ASTM D3000, and ASTM D3035 HDPE pipe with wall thicknesses ranging from SDR 32.5 through SDR 7.3, this coupling is ideal for oil and gas production, mining operations, industrial processing, hydraulic systems, chemical plants, and petroleum transfer applications.
Its innovative transition design provides exceptional mechanical strength while significantly reducing installation time and maintenance costs.
Reliable HDPE-to-Steel Transition
Advanced Mechanical Gripping Technology
The Gruvlok® Figure 7307 utilizes a four-bolt mechanical clamping system that drives precision-machined gripping teeth into the outside diameter of the HDPE pipe while simultaneously engaging a keyed section into the groove of the steel pipe or grooved fitting. This creates a rigid mechanical connection with pressure capabilities that can exceed the pressure rating of the HDPE pipe itself.
The gripping teeth are strategically positioned away from the gasket to optimize sealing performance throughout the operating temperature range. The coupling also features a low-profile contoured housing with smooth exterior ramps that allow assembled pipelines to slide over obstacles during installation or relocation, improving jobsite productivity.
Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket
Engineered for Petroleum Applications
The Grade "T" Nitrile (Buna-N) gasket, identified by its orange color code, is manufactured in accordance with ASTM D2000 and provides a service temperature range of -20°F to 180°F (-29°C to 82°C). It is specifically recommended for petroleum products, mineral oils, vegetable oils, hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, fuels, and compressed air containing oil vapors.
The nitrile compound offers excellent resistance to petroleum-based media while maintaining dependable sealing performance under demanding industrial operating conditions. Grade "T" Nitrile gaskets are not recommended for hot water or hot air applications, where EPDM or another compatible gasket material should be selected.
