The Gruvlok® Figure 7005 Roughneck Plain-End Coupling with Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket is a rugged mechanical pipe coupling specifically engineered for joining plain-end or beveled-end steel pipe in demanding petroleum and industrial service applications. Utilizing Gruvlok's proven gripper technology, the Figure 7005 creates a secure mechanical pipe joint without the need for grooving, welding, threading, or flanged connections. Grade "T" Nitrile Gasket
Engineered for Petroleum Applications
The Grade "T" Nitrile (Buna-N) gasket, identified by its distinctive orange color code, is manufactured in accordance with ASTM D2000 and provides a service temperature range of -20°F to 180°F (-29°C to 82°C). It is specifically recommended for petroleum products, mineral oils, vegetable oils, hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, fuels, and compressed air containing oil vapors.
The nitrile compound offers excellent resistance to petroleum-based media while maintaining dependable sealing performance under demanding industrial operating conditions. The Grade "T" gasket is not recommended for hot water or hot air applications, where EPDM or other specialty gasket materials should be selected.
