Gruvlok Grade EP EPDM Gasket

Gruvlok® Figure 7004 High Pressure Rigid Coupling with Grade "EP" EPDM Gasket

The Gruvlok® Figure 7004 High Pressure Rigid Coupling with Grade "EP" EPDM Gasket is a premium mechanical grooved coupling designed for high-pressure water-based piping systems that require a rigid, leak-resistant pipe connection. Engineered to combine the installation advantages of grooved piping with the stability of a rigid mechanical joint, the Figure 7004 provides working pressure ratings up to 1,200 PSI (82.7 bar) when installed on grooved standard wall steel pipe. Its rigid design prevents pipe expansion and contraction while maintaining precise pipe alignment, making it an ideal choice for commercial HVAC systems, municipal water distribution, industrial process piping, fire protection, water treatment facilities, hydraulic equipment, and high-pressure wash systems.

When equipped with the Grade "EP" EPDM gasket, the Figure 7004 offers outstanding performance in water-based and non-petroleum applications requiring dependable long-term sealing.

High-Pressure Rigid Joint Technology

Engineered for Strength and Stability

The Gruvlok® Figure 7004 provides the versatility of a grooved piping system while creating a rigid mechanical connection that minimizes movement under pressure. It is particularly effective in piping systems that experience pressure surges or pressure pulses, maintaining system integrity and protecting connected equipment.

Compatible with roll-grooved and cut-grooved standard wall steel pipe, the Figure 7004 installs quickly without welding, threading, or flanged joints, reducing labor costs while simplifying future maintenance and system modifications.

Grade "EP" EPDM Gasket

Reliable Sealing for Water and Chemical Service

The Grade "EP" EPDM gasket, identified by its green and red color code, is manufactured in accordance with ASTM D2000 and provides a service temperature range of -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C). It is recommended for water service, diluted acids, alkaline solutions, oil-free compressed air, and many non-petroleum chemical applications, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial piping systems.

For hot water applications, Gruvlok® recommends using Gruvlok® Xtreme Temperature Lubricant during installation to maximize gasket performance and extend service life.

The Grade "EP" gasket is not recommended for petroleum products, fuels, mineral oils, hydraulic oils, or compressed air containing oil vapors, where a Nitrile gasket should be selected instead.

Why Choose the Gruvlok® Figure 7004 with Grade "EP" EPDM Gasket?
