What began as a local manufacturer of cutting-off and grinding wheels quickly expanded across Europe, thanks to a commitment to performance and innovation.

In 1977, Flexovit USA was established in Angola, NY, by Jay Iliohan, bringing European expertise stateside. Since manufacturing its first wheels, Flexovit has remained a Made in USA brand, producing top-tier industrial abrasive products for demanding applications. A major expansion in 1995 and early adoption of ISO Quality Certification solidified Flexovit’s reputation as an industry leader.

In 2016, Flexovit further modernized its Angola facility with advanced automation and robotics, increasing capacity, efficiency, and product consistency.
